A few weeks ago, we were contacted by Tim Bourquin over at TraderInterviews. They are working on a new sequence of interviews in which they are interviewing up and coming traders, and he was interested in interviewing the two of us. Here’s a few excerpts from our e-mail exchange.

I came across your blog and wanted to see if you’d be interested in doing an interview with me

Having only been trading full time for just over a year and blogging for about four months, we’re not sure we have much wisdom to offer the trading community. We are still very much in the discovery phase of trading, developing our trading style and learning from other traders. We have a long way to go, and we haven’t even made it to profitability yet.

I’m trying to get a good mix of experience levels for the interviews. Even though you haven’t been trading for a long time, there are thousands of traders out there in the same boat as you and I know they get a lot out of hearing from people who are going through similar learning curves.

Long story short, we decided to do the interview last Thursday, and it is up and running today. The interview is 20mins long and we are interviewed separately. We talk about how we got into trading, the origin of the name 10kthrownaway and a little bit about how we trade. Please try to ignore the Southern accents and all the “UHs” if possible.
